Ashley R. Shields
O.D.
Dr. Shields, formerly Ashley Lynn, is a 2001 graduate of West Muskingum High School. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition from The Ohio State University. She then attended Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale, Florida where she earned her Doctor of Optometry degree and Bachelor’s Degree in Vision Science in 2012.
Dr. Shields joined Sunrise Vision Clinic in August 2012 and continues to welcome patients of all ages to meet your ocular and visual needs with Zanesville Vision Care.
Dr. Shields currently resides in Muskingum County with her husband and two children. They enjoy traveling and spending time with their family and friends.
Kelly A. Ryen
O.D.
Dr. Kelly Ryen graduated as valedictorian of Pickerington High School in 1996. She attended Kent State University as an undergrad and majored in Biology. Her Optometry education was received at The Ohio State College of Optometry where she graduated Cum Laude in 2003.
Dr. Ryen joined Sunrise Vision Clinic in February of 2015. She became part owner of the new Zanesville Vision Care in January 2016. She enjoys treating patients of all ages. Dr. Ryen is currently accepting new patients.
Dr. Ryen resides in Licking County. She and her husband have 2 daughters. She enjoys reading, exercise and spending time with family and friends.
Sarah R. Scalley
O.D.
Dr. Scalley graduated from Toronto High School in 2002 as Valedictorian of her class. She went on to attend Otterbein College in Westerville, Ohio.. She graduated from Otterbein cum laude and with honors in 2006 with a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Life Science. She then went on to study optometry at The Ohio State University and received her Doctor of Optometry Degree in June 2011. Dr. Scalley joined Sunrise Vision Clinic in July 2011. And continued with the practice when it became Zanesville Vison Care.
Dr. Scalley is currently welcoming patients of all ages. She treats a wide variety of ocular conditions including glaucoma, cataracts, macular degeneration, dry eye, amblyopia, and keratoconus.
Dr. Scalley enjoys spending time with her family and friends, knitting, crocheting, baking, and playing with her four dogs.
